role play sample:
Oddly enough, Buffy felt pretty at home in Los Angeles. Being born there and growing up there she'd kind of missed it. Although she'd certainly wished that she had come back here on her own terms. After setting up the hotel and getting everyone all settled in, Giles had gotten down to business right away. Giving out missions and assignments, it was kind of a downer, but what could you do? Hell she hadn't even had the chance to go see Angel yet. But she knew that was probably for the best, there would certainly be tension between them what with Buffy being in "his town" and all.
Nonetheless she was on her first little assignment in Los Angeles right now. Giles and various other watchers had told her about a rather old warlock living in L.A. Apparently, he was quite powerful and didn't particularly favor the side of good or evil. That's why they sent Buffy, she was supposed to change that. Convince him, the warlock's name was Gabriel, to work with them and help them, as they could use all the help that they could get right now.
However they hadn't known if this warlock would be very accepting to visitors. Not wanting to take any chances, the slayer decided to take a stealthy route. As she didn't have a driver's license she had her driver drop her a block away from Gabriel's house. As she walked closer to his house she thought about how she should've brought a weapon. He was human, so more than likely she wouldn't need one. Unless he started to get all magic-y. Buffy had no defense against the magic's and she was regretting her decision not to bring a weapon.
Oh well.
Approaching the house she went around to the back looking for another entrance. She made sure to stay in the shadows, as it was around ten pm. Why they needed her to visit him this very second she didn't know, but she wished that they would have sent her during the daytime. Anywho, she finally found another entrance. Looking in one of the windows, she noticed that it seemed to be a study of some sort. Turning the door knob she soon found out that it was locked. That was no matter for a slayer and she easily twisted it hard enough to break it. It made a small noise but no one appeared to be home at the time.
She couldn't feel any demons or anything in the house so that was good. It was just disappointing that she couldn't feel humans, as this warlock could currently be anywhere in the house. This made her wonder if maybe he was invisible? This made her flashback to the days or Marcey Ross, back in high school. The invisible girl had almost tortured both Buffy and Cordelia.
Before she could even fully enter the room she was seized up by some invisible force. It was almost as if she was hanging inside of an invisible net. The slayer felt like she was in a movie right now. Struggling to get free she soon learned that she couldn't move inside of it, it was as if she was paralyzed or something. It had to be some sort of binding spell. Damn it, should have brought Willow. "Okay. This is so not funny. Joke's over, ha-ha. Let me down now?" As she said this she really hoped that Gabriel was home, and this wasn't just some magical alarm system. If he wasn't home, who knew how long she would be hanging up here.
how often can you stay active? Everyday.
